Ravenna, OH April 21, 2009 - Parker Parflex produces "Over the Sheave" hoses for demanding applications such as fork-lifts, booms, aerial lifts, cranes and tree de-limbers. These products are designed to withstand the very harsh environments associated with continual flexing over sheaves at the minimum bend radius. All hoses have the highest abrasion resistance jackets on the market and meet the lowest industry cold flex temperatures. In addition, these hoses are 70% lighter than competitive rubber products and the clean thermoplastic core gives best in class chemical compatibility and, unlike rubber hose, do not erode due to high fluid velocity.

Parker's "Over the Sheave" line includes light weight, super duty wire reinforced and hose for extreme situations in sizes from 1/8" up to 1", depending on hose selection. The light weight fiber braided hoses operate in temperatures from -70ºF to 212ºF and include 53DM hose (SAE 100R18 product) and 55LT hose (SAE 100R7 product). The super duty wire reinforced hoses include 560 hose (SAE 100R1 product) and 590 hose (SAE 100R2 product); both operate in temperatures from -40ºF to 250ºF. For the absolute extreme situations, H6 hose meets SAE 100R17 and operates in temperatures ranging from -70ºF to 250ºF.

All of these products are standard, stocked and available in twin lines or multiline configurations. These custom designs reduce sheave jump off problems.
