Wickliffe, Ohio, June 30, 2006 – Parker Hannifin has introduced its 422/421 Worldwide hose, a new universal one-wire hose designed to meet global requirements and specifications.

Manufactured to strict international quality specifications (ISO 1436-1 Type 1SN), Parker 422/421 assures customers consistency of performance and improved availability worldwide.

According to Mike Matthews, Parker Hose Products Division product sales manager, the new Worldwide hose offers many advantages. "The 422/421 offers higher working pressures than the existing Parker 421 hose, which means improved reliability and expanded applications. As a part of Parker's growing line of Worldwide hose, this newest product delivers consistent form, fit and function anywhere in the world."

Additional features of Parker's 422/421 hose include a nitrile inner tube for greater fluid compatibility across a wide range of hydraulic fluids, including biodegradable ones. The hose is available in sizes -4 to -32. It meets ISO 1436-1 Type 1SN, SAE 100R1 Type AT, and EN 853 Type 1SN requirements. When combined with the company's 43 Series Parkrimp fittings and 42 Series field-attachable fittings, the 422/421 hose provides long-lasting, leak-free performance. The hose can be crimped using any of Parker's Parkrimp crimpers.

General applications of Parker's 422/421 hose include agriculture, construction, forestry, automotive plants, turf care, and transportation.
