The Magellan™ Family of Motion Control ICs provides high performance chip-based motion control for multiple motor types. Magellan motion control ICs are available in 1, 2, 3, and 4-axis versions. These flexible and programmable devices control DC brush, brushless DC, step, and microstepping motors. They are designed for demanding applications such as medical automation, general automation, and scientific instrumentation.

Two versions of the Magellan are available. The multi-motor MC58000 series controls all motor types (DC brush, brushless DC, step, and microstepping motors). The MC55000 series provides dedicated pulse & direction output.
