Pickwick designed the prototype based on their Fabrigear structural steel laser's capability to prepare beam, tube and angle to tight tolerances for "no tacking, no fixture" assembly.
Pickwick also analyzed 15 subcomponents of a major assembly to see if they could simplify their manufacture. This review resulted in reducing 18 separate brake press setups to 5, making it possible to flow the parts in small batches to match the day's production and eliminate inventory.
