Polymer Technologies, Inc. (PTI) is a leader in custom metal injection molding (MIM) production services and has extensive experience in all aspects of the contract manufacturing of complex, technically challenging components.

PTI offers sintering on a toll basis of molded MIM components through the use of hydrogen, argon, nitrogen and/or high vacuum capability to temperatures as high as 3,000º F.

PTI can manufacture and sinter parts from a wide variety of metals, metal alloys and composites. In order to achieve the desired dimensions and properties of the final part, PTI's experienced staff tightly controls the time and temperature of the sintering cycle.

To ensure flexibility and high quality parts, PTI offers both high vacuum/controlled atmosphere batch and continuous pusher hydrogen sintering furnaces.

Sintering for batch processing is performed in an AVS furnace. Features of the AVS furnace include:

• 10 cubic foot hot zone
• High vacuum or partial pressure 1 to 720 torr.
• Gases: Argon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Mixes of H/Ar or H/N
• Maximum temperature of 1450º C (2640º F)

Continuous sintering is performed in a 65 ft. CM high volume pusher furnace. Features of the high volume pusher furnace include:

• 800 cubic inch per hour average throughput
• Controlled 6 zone debind/preheat
• 3 individually controlled sintering zones
• Maximum temperature of 1650º C (3000º F)
• Gases: Hydrogen, Nitrogen, H/N Mix
• High temperature sintering of pressed/sintered P/M parts
