The Model V is a snap-action thermal protector designed to meet the demands of today's smaller, more powerful battery packs. Suitable for overcharge and short-circuit protection, with a low internal resistance for maximum protection and minimum effect on battery pack performance. Its slim profile allows it to fit between AAA cells without standing above them, and it can withstand short-circuit currents of up to 100 Amps. Its non-conductive plastic case allows mounting in almost any area without concern for extra insulation.
The Model V is available with a variety of lead configurations customized to fit your application. Whether it's two nickel strips, two insulated wires, one of each...it doesn't matter. They can do it. They even offer heat-shrinkable tubing over termination points for those packs that have a particularly tight fit. Of course it's also available without leads, for those customers wishing to attach their own.
With calibrations in single-degree increments from 50'C to 90'C, and with tolerances as tight as +/-5'C, the Model V is available in a temperature range and precision level you need. From over-charge to over-current to short-circuit protection: The Model V can deliver.
