As today's electronic products have come to feature more sophisticated functions the sources of power that operate these products have been required to deliver increasingly higher levels of energy. Compared to Ni-Cd batteries, Ni-MH batteries have about two to three times the energy density and a same operating voltage.
Features:
Environmentally Friendly: Ni-MH batteries are free of Cadmium and mercury. They are an environmental friendly chemical power source.
Similarities With Ni-Cd Batteries: These batteries have similar discharge characteristics to those of Ni-Cd batteries.
Double the Energy Density of Ni-Cdl Batteries: Ni-MH batteries have approximately double the capacity compared with standard Ni-Cd batteries.
Cycle Life and Discharge Cycles: Like Ni-Cd batteries, nickel-metal hydride batteries can be repeatedly charged and discharged for multiple cycles.
Excellent Discharge Characteristics: Since the internal resistance of nickel-metal hydride batteries is low, conditions for high-rate discharge are similar to Ni-Cd batteries. No Memory Effect NiMH is free from the so-called memory effect, a phenomenon seen in nickel-cadmium in which the apparent battery capacity decreases when shallow charge and discharge cycles are repeated.
