How The Power Train Saver Works
Power Train Saver's PTO Overtorque Protection
The PTO shear unit is installed on to the end of the drive shaft. The units comes with an internal greasable bushing. The Grade 2 - 5/16 shear pin bolt is installed through the flanges.
When over-torque occurs, the bolt shears, saving pumps, compressors, blowers and any other componenents driven by the PTO system. The unit rotates freely on the internal bushing after the bolt shears due to overload. The only step required to get up and running is to install a new shear bolt of the same size and quality.
The PTO unit comes with a 1310 series welded on to one end of it. The PTO unit can be used with 2" and 2.5" drive shafts.
