Quik-Pull® custom wire and cable assemblies are pre-labeled, color-coded cable assemblies built to specification. Rather than pulling single wires for multiple runs, one assembly is pulled — making jobs faster, easier and more cost-effective. Available specifications include wire type, gauge, color and stranding for building wire, electronic cable, coax cable, fiber optic cable — any wiring combination you require. Quik-Pull is bundled and shipped within 2 to 5 days.
Quik-Pull tray rated custom jackets are manufactured to specification. A PVC jacket in just about any color can be manufactured and imprinted with any alpha-numeric information. Optional mylar or foil shields available upon request.
Quik-Pull custom twisted pairs are available in various reel lengths and lay lengths, and are offered in a variety of AWG's, wire types and colors.
Custom printing, marking and striping is available for all Quik-Pull products.
On average, Quik-Pull saves 25% on costs compared to pulling singles. Contact Power & Tel today for a FREE Quik-Pull Cost Comparison Chart and learn how much custom assemblies can save you on labor and installation time.
Information on cable weight and cable O.D. is available.
Spiral Assemblies
The most flexible custom cable on the market. It retains its roundness and does not change proportion when pulled through 90 degrees. Spiral assembly of building/fixture wire, factory bound, UL labeled and shipped on pull-length reels.
Applications
- Long pulls in conduit where all conductors will be carried end-to-end (home run pulls).
- When minimum outside diameter and maximum flexibility are needed.
- When overall assemblies will be jacketed.
Ordering Guidelines
- Conductors can be mixed in one assembly
- Custom printing on conductors approximately every 1-1/2" with alpha-numeric characters; or striping.
- Solid or stranded THHN, TFN, TFFN and XHHW in stock in a variety of colors and gauges.*
*The most popular sizes of Spiral Quik-Pull are in stock and ready to ship. Order 14 AWG stranded THHN in 10-20-30-40-50 conductor and it will go out within 24 hours!
Specifications
Conductors - Solid or stranded, bare copper per customer specification. Spiral configurations can be constructed from most single conductor wires, 8 AWG to 18 AWG. Conductor sizes can be mixed in an assembly. Maximum O.D. capability is 1-1/2".
Insulation - As required by the conductor designation, e.g. MTW, THHN, TFFN, XHHW.
Specification for conductors used will be furnished on request.
Conductor ID - Alpha-numeric characters, words or sentences. Standard sequential number coding. Colors, striping and other alpha-numeric coding available.
Listing - UL Listed Processed Wires. E76139.
Cabling - Unilay construction for flexible finished cable with overall nylon binder thread.
Binder - Two flat, waxed 5040-denier nylon threads, spaced 1" apart, are wrapped around the entire assembly in the same direction. The waxed binder adheres to the assembly, staying in place while pulling through conduit. Alternative binding and taping are available.
Footage - Sequential footage marker under outer binder thread.
Packaging - No-charge, non-returnable wooden reels. Reel tag contains type, size and beginning and ending sequential footage numbers.
Straight Assemblies
Conductors are paralleled to make individual breakout easy. Factory bound, UL labeled and shipped on pull-length reels.
Applications
- When conductors will be broken out at unspecified intermediate points along the run.
- For composites of electronic cables with or without building/fixture wire.
- For assemblies to be laid in place, not pulled.
- Where an unspiraled structure is needed to minimize heat build-up in power wires 12 AWG or larger.
Ordering Guidelines
- Request building wire, electronic cable, coax or fiber optic cable.
- Custom printing on conductors approximately every 1 ½" with alpha-numeric characters; or striping.
- Solid or stranded THHN, TFN, TFFN and XHHW in stock in a variety of colors.
Specifications
Conductors - Any combination of electronic, coaxial, twisted pairs and single conductors.
Insulation - As required by the conductor designation, e.g. MTW, THHN, TFFN, XHHW, plus any electronic cables, e.g. coaxial, low-voltage control, fire alarm. Specification for conductors used will be furnished on request.
Conductor ID - Alpha-numeric characters, words, sentences. Standard sequential number coding. Colors, striping and other alpha-numeric coding available.
Listing - UL Listed Processed Wires. E76139.
Cabling - Assembled in a single bundle without layering or spiraling. Overall spiral binder thread around entire assembly only.
Binder - Two flat 5040-denier nylon threads are spaced 1" apart and wrapped in opposite directions around the entire assembly. Allows for individual breakouts or can be easily removed to give assembly more flexibility. Alternative binding and taping are available.
Footage - Sequential footage marker under outer binder thread.
Packaging - No-charge, non-returnable wooden reels. Reel tag contains type, size and beginning and ending sequential footage numbers.
Staggered Assemblies
Conductors are bundled at one end, designated wires are grouped separately. Should be used when conductors are broken out at specific points in the pull.
Applications
- For power, conveyers, risers and installations where exact measurements of breakout points can be specified at the time of your order.
Ordering Guidelines
- Request building wire, electronic cable, coax or fiber optic cable.*
- Any tail length and drop points.
- Conductors are bundled at one end - designated wires grouped separately.
