New Planetary Gear Heads in Size 52, 78 & 98
These rugged units, identified as the QGH-52 Series offer a choice of 3 backlash options: less than or equal to 15 arc min., less than or equal to 10 arc min., or less than or equal to 3 arc min.
New size 52 planetary gearheads from Quality Transmission Components feature smooth, quiet, lightweight, compact helical gear drives. Offered with single or double stages, their efficiency is 95% or 92% respectively. The maximum input speed is 6000 rpm. The housing is aluminum with gears and output shafts made from 4135 alloy steel. Available gear ratios range from 3:1 to 25:1. The single stage unit weighs 0.55 kg (1.2 lb.) whereas the double stage unit weighs 0.72 kg (1.6 lb.).
