Reverse Osmosis Membrane Cleaning

Reverse Osmosis Membrane Cleaning

R3 Water Technologies provides cleaning for all industrial 4" and 8" reverse osmosis membranes. The normal operation of any RO unit degrades membranes by mineral scale, organic material, biological contaminates or metal oxides. Deposits build up on the membrane surface, forcing operation pressure higher, reducing the efficiency of your system.

The long-term health of your reverse osmosis system requires that membranes be cleaned when certain conditions are applicable.

· Normal permeate flow drops by 10% or more

· Salt passage increases by 10% or more

· Differential between feed pressure and concentrate pressure increases by 10% or more

Cleaning maximizes the performance and life of the RO membranes. Ignoring the build up too long and cleaning may not restore performance successfully to the membranes.

R3 Water offers a systematic method of returning your membranes to their best possible condition.

1. Membrane inspection prior to cleaning process

2. Clean membrane with low pH solution

3. Membrane rinse

4. Clean membrane with high pH solution

5. Membrane rinse

6. Optional low pH clean and rinse if needed

7. Technician will test and record performance data on each membrane

8. Optional preservative added to each membrane upon request

9. Membranes are sealed in water tight plastic sleeves

We provide fast turn around, competitive prices and quality results.
