The RMKN Series is a single stage horizontal centrifugal magnetic drive chemical pump. The design for this heavy-duty pump was based on the stringent requirements of the chemical industry. The materials of construction offer excellent wear and chemical resistance in many difficult applications.

Typical applications are molten sulfur, pitch tar, sulfuric acid, other acids, caustics, and other corrosive or toxic liquids.

Construction Features

  • Hydrodynamic sleeve bearings in high purity silicon-free silicon carbide
  • Separate lubrication and cooling circulation system
  • Asbestos free gaskets
  • Operating temperature from -35 to +250 deg C (-31 to 482 deg F).
  • Bearing frame in nodular iron GGG 40.3
  • Centering ring bolted to volute casing
  • Spacer can without seams. Groove in rear area prevents rotation of the media an consequent wear.
  • Optional jacket for fully heated design
  • Optional close coupled design

Range of Applications

  • Standard design for aggressive, toxic, explosive and slightly solid contaminated media.
  • Heated design for liquid sulfur, pitch, tar, etc.
  • Special design with cooler for liquids up to 350 deg C.

Sizes

  • Discharge flange sizes from DN 32 (1.2 inch) to DN 150 (6 inch).

Materials

  • Wide range of materials: cast steel, stainless steel, R3020 alloy, hastelloy, titanium, and other high alloys.
  • Spacer can in Hastelloy C4, titanium and others.
  • Sleeve bearing assembly in high purity silicon carbide (silicon free).
  • Bearing frame in nodular iron GGG 40.3, heated design in steel 1.4552.
  • Asbestos free gaskets.

Monitoring And Protection

  • Vibration measuring at coupling end.
  • Temperature monitoring of pumped fluid and / or spacer can.
  • Leakage detection.
  • Protection against dry running by load measurement, flow detection, etc.
  • Additional protection provided by secondary sealing arrangement (grease filled barrier).
  • Emergency sealing for extremely hazardous media, consisting of a gas pressure generator, sealant container and sensor.
