The David Round Company, www.davidround.com has introduced re-designed Railrunner™ tractor drive products. The tractor drives feature a sleek new configuration, which when paired with extra heavy duty construction, distinguish them from similar units.

David Round tractor drives provide the push and pull to position overhead loads on a monorail or enclosed track. They can be provided to operate on any size beam or rail, eliminating concerns about proprietary systems. They are available with 1/2 Hp up to 2 Hp motors, the highest horsepower rating for this type of product. In addition to being the most powerful, these tractor drives are among the most durable, with all components being larger, heavier gauge and tougher than those found in similar units. The bearings employed are the heaviest found in the tractor drive industry.

A single David Round tractor drives can be used to motorize the trolley travel of an existing hoist with a manual trolley, or a pair of tractor drives can motorize an existing manual push/pull style bridge crane. Towing capacities are from 1/2 to 15 tons. Electric and air powered versions are available with speeds to 300 feet per minute. Soft start and inverter-based controls as well as explosion-proof and spark-resistant versions are available.
