Ralston airflow monitors provide a simple yet reliable alternative to indicate positive or negative airflow of fans.
When installed and connected in series with optical or audible signaling devices (such as LED's or alarms), or remote monitoring devices, a bi-directional switch will activate an electrical contact if air flow of the fan falls below 8.2ft/s, thus activating your preferred signal device.
Unlike electronic monitoring systems, the Ralston Airflow monitor does not merely monitor electrical conditions; it provides mechanical verification that the cooling fan is operating correctly. Since the resulting airflow itself is monitored, the sensor will react to both mechanical and electrical failures.
