SAFOAM RIC-FP is a low temperature endothermic chemical nucleating and blowing agent for the creation of a foam structure in a variety of applications.

Main Uses

Recommended for olefinic, styrenic, and vinyl based thermoplastics, but may be used in any thermoplastics material that reaches the decomposition temperature during processing and is not moisture-sensitive.

RIC-FP is commonly used in custom compounding of PVC, alone and in conjunction with other exothermic blowing agents. Powder processors will benefit from the better economics of RIC-FP over pelletized SAFOAM products. It is not recommended for moisture-sensitive resins.
