Refractory Ceramic Fiber Vacuum Formed Shapes - 2600 and 3000 Series

  • Standard and special shapes with extremely low thermal conductivity and excellent thermal shock resistance
  • Gemcolite® Vacuum Formed Shapes are uniquely formulated from a blend of high purity alumina-silica fibers with an appropriate combination of organic and inorganic binders.
  • Handling strength is provided by the organic binder, and product integrity at higher working temperature is maintained by the inorganic binder.
  • No asbestos, phenolic binders or exothermics are used.
  • Maximum use temperature for the standard formulation is 2300°F (1260°C).

  • Low thermal conductivity, low heat storage, and excellent insulating properties make Gemocolite shapes important conservers of energy.
