Renishaw's PH20 features unique 'head touches' which allow measurement points to be taken by moving only the head rather than the CMM structure. Using only the rapid rotary motion of the head, points can be taken faster, and with improved accuracy and repeatability.

PH20 is another innovative measurement product from Renishaw that transforms co-ordinate measuring machine (CMM) performance. For the first time, 5-axis technology developed for the multi-award winning REVO® measurement system is available for touch-trigger applications on all sizes of CMM.

Unlike conventional touch-trigger measurement methods which rely on speeding up the motion of the CMM's 3 axes to measure quickly, PH20 utilises the head motion technology developped for the multi-award winning REVO® system to minimise the dynamic errors of the CMM at higher measurement speeds.

Intelligent head technology affords rapid touch-trigger measurement by using 'head-touches' where measurement points are taken by moving only the head rather than the CMM structure. Using only the rapid rotary motion of the head, points can be taken faster, and with improved accuracy and repeatability.
