The MAPS® III Series packaged rooftop units are designed to cool and dehumidify high volumes of outside air year round for makeup air and ventilation applications. In addition, MAPS III can provide significant capacities of space conditioning. Model RDB units are designed to provide an average cooling supply air temperature of 50° to 55°F in humid to temperate climates.
The RDB utilizes environmentally-friendly R-410A refrigerant in all circuits for higher efficiency, and to be covered under changing regulations. The model RDB units are designed from the ground up to handle the realities of outside air cooling. The RDB utilizes environmentally-friendly R-410A refrigerant in all circuits for higher efficiency, and to be covered under changing regulations. They have multiple stages of cooling (3-8) for exceptional part-load performance.
Model RDB units offer all these same features, but also include Reznor Re-Heat Pump™ dedicated reheat cycle. Re-heating of the air by this method saves over 4 to 5 times the energy used by electric heating elements. Additionally, the system is capable of maintaining reheat even when the demand for cooling and dehumidification is minimal. More importantly, this method of reheat complies with ASHRAE Standard 90.1.
The RDB has the most technologically advanced controls and flexibility for application in BMS networks as well as stand alone configurations. The controls systems are native BacNet. The fan systems are designed to handle typical static pressures found on the high outside air units.
