SCHUNK, Inc. is introducing the new miniaturized MV micro valves that offer short cycle times, low energy consumption, simple operation, and high reliability. The electrically actuated 3/2 pneumatic valves are screwed directly onto the actuator which makes the hose connections between the valve and the actuator completely unnecessary. That reduces the interfering contours and the assembly expense. Air flow and air connection threads are specified exactly for the relevant actuator, which guarantees simple assembly and installation. The miniaturized valves are completely maintenance-free, they take just seven milliseconds for a switch process, and they have an enormous life span of 900 million switching cycles.

The micro valves from SCHUNK are available in the sizes 1.5 mm, 2.5 mm, and 3.0 mm. At 87 psi they achieve a flow rate of 2, 5, and 9 CFM.
