SKF® cylindrical roller bearings optimized for high-speed operation and longer life
SKF® cylindrical roller bearings feature unique logarithmically "crowned" rollers providing improved contact geometry between roller and raceway. This roller profile reduces stresses under high loads, enables excellent performance even under misaligned conditions, and promotes cooler running to allow for high-speed operation and longer bearing life.
Their precision-honed inner and outer ring, raceways, and rollers additionally improve lubricant effectiveness to contribute quieter, cooler, and reliable service.
These bearings can serve ideally for demanding applications such as compressors, industrial gearboxes, transmissions, and final drives in on-road and off-road vehicles, among others.
The bearings are offered in single-, double-, and multiple-row designs differing in the arrangement, design, and construction of retaining flanges. Depending on configuration, these flange designs enable some thrust load capability. Available bore sizes range in diameter from 25mm to 1,000mm (0.9843 in. to 39.3701 in.). Running accuracy to ISO P6
(ABEC 3) is standard. All SKF cylindrical roller bearings conform to ISO and ABMA standards.
Cage materials include molded glass fiber-reinforced polyamide (standard) or optional machined brass and pressed steel. In addition to caged bearings, several series with a full complement of rollers also are available. Customized cylindrical roller bearing solutions (including special cages) can be developed to satisfy particular application requirements.
