NILOS® stainless steel rings to seal bearings, protect against contaminants and harsh conditions
NILOS® stainless steel rings available from SKF® can protect ball and roller bearings against tough abrasive particles and debris in industries generating excessive contaminants, such as mining, paper, agriculture, and construction. Their inherent corrosion resistance broadens suitable applications to food processing, beverage, and other environments where equipment routinely must withstand washdowns and harsh chemicals.
These stainless rings mount easily on bearings and are available in a wide range of sizes to seal either a bearing's outer ring or inner ring. They can be specified for circumferential speeds up to 1000 surface feet per minute at the contact diameter.
The product line additionally includes seals for bearings engineered to operate in extreme-contaminant conditions; spacer rings to promote non-slip clamping; and rings for bearings already equipped with integral shields or seals.
Custom sealing solutions can be developed to satisfy application-specific requirements.
