SMC's air saving valve series, ASR (pressure valve)/ASQ (flow valve), can cut air consumption by operating the return stroke at a reduced pressure. For example, 25% reduction in air consumption is achieved at 0.5 MPa (72.5 PSI) of working pressure by reducing the pressure to 0.2MPa (29 PSI) on the return stroke where no work is carried out. The set pressure can be either fixed or variable. The set pressure for fixed type is 0.2 MPa. Variable type can be adjustable between 0.1MPa (14.5 PSI) and 0.3 MPa (43.5 PSI). Variation of ASR and ASQ is as follows.
Port size: R1/4, R3/8, R1/2 Applicable tubing O.D. (mm): 6,8,10,12.
Consistent speed control is achieved by preventing jerky movement of working strokes. The body and one-touch fitting allow 360-degree rotation. The sealant on the male thread is standardized.
