Beam Tractor Drives

The SPANCO Beam Boss Tractor Drive provides motorized power to an existing bridge crane or trolley hoist. Available in a wide range of speeds and optional features, the Beam Boss Tractor Drive is primarily designed to run on an I-beam or wide flange beam indoors. Beam Boss Tractor Drives can effortlessly navigate curves down to a 60" radius and is rated for H3/Class "C" Service. Standard features include hardened, flat tread wheels for operation on its patented track.

Standard SPANCO Beam Boss Tractor Drive features include:

• Can run on an I-beam or wide flange beam with lower flange from 3 ¼" to 8 ½" with a 1" thick max
• Navigates curves down to a 60" radius
• Standard 230/460V, 3 phase power
• Drive is rated for H3/Class C service
• Available with an electric or air motor
• Hardened flat tread wheels provided with all drives intended to operate on patented track

Optional SPANCO Beam Boss Tractor Drive features include:

• Explosion proof controls
• Spark resistant wheels
• Soft start
• Variable frequency drives

Enclosed Track Tractor Drives

The SPANCO Track Boss provides motorized power to a wider range of existing systems than the Beam Boss Tractor Drive, including:

• Workstation bridge cranes
• Trolleys and hoists (600, 700 or 900 series)
• Monorail systems

Standard SPANCO Track Boss features include:

• 208 to 575 volts
• Three phase
• 60 Hertz
• Electric operation or air driven
• Single speeds of 34, 50 and 75 F.P.M. (additional speeds available upon request

Tractors are usually utilized with workstation cranes when trying to access difficult to reach areas such as larger machines or work tables. Tractor drives also assist when lifting larger capacity loads on long span workstation bridge cranes where manual movement becomes difficult.

The SPANCO Enclosed Track Tractor Drive is sold in two styles:

The SPANCO Track Boss for SPANCO Enclosed Track – made to run exclusively on SPANCO Enclosed Track.

The SPANCO Track Boss for Competitor's Enclosed Track – made to run on our competitor's enclosed track. Please contact us for more details on which competitor's track our drive will run on.
