Ready-Flex® Pre-Designed Flexible Shafts

S.S. White designs and manufactures two lines of Flexible Shafts -- Custom & Standard.  The standard line is called Ready-Flex®. Our Ready-Flex® Flexible Shaft assemblies are made with pre-designed components with a finite range of options.

Ready-Flex shaft cores are made with Carbon Steel, and casings are made of PVC with carbon steel liners. Casing is an optional feature but highly recommended by our engineers for these reasons:

• Protection from moisture, dust, dirt and other environmental factors
• Retains lubricant
• Limits the phenomenon of helixing or “corkscrewing” that a shaft may experience in high torque applications
• Controls the bending of the enclosed shaft by guiding it through natural and gradual bends
• Prevents injury to operators in contact with the shaft
