The Scheibler Filter from Larox is used for the removal and recovery of solids in low concentration from process liquids. The quality of the resulting filtrate increases production capacity while boosting the quality of process and products.

Scheibler Filters exploit the phenomena of adsorption filtration to cause micronic and sub-micronic particles to adhere to the fibres of the filter media, despite being small enough to pass through its pores. This reduces particle concentration in the filtrate to almost undetectable levels. Filter aids such as precoat and body feed are unnecessary in the vast majority of applications, but if required, the filter can be operated with filter aid without modification.

• All models feature a unique fully programmable cloth cleaning and cake discharge system.

• The filter is available with filtration areas up to 720m2.

• The filters are available in corrosion resistant matrials at high process temperatures

Scheibler polishing filters remove and recover solids in low concentrations from process liquids. The quality of the resulting filtrate increases production capacity and the quality of plant end products. In the chemical industry Scheibler polishing filters excel in all forms of brine polishing applications but are now finding wide acceptance in processes as diverse as boric acid processing, white industrial minerals for pigments, and green liquor in kraft pulp mills.

Effective and Economical
Based on the principal of adsorption filtration and constructed to an advanced filter design, Scheibler polishing filters cost-effectively reduce suspended solids to very low levels - single digit parts per million (ppm) in the filtrate exiting the unit for the following reasons:

• Filter aids are rarely necessary, thereby reducing operating costs
• Highly effective cloth cleaning maximizes cloth life
• Reduced maintenance as a result of no moving parts
• Low energy requirements reduce operating costs
• Fully automatic operation eliminates frequent supervision
• High unit capacity reduces the required number of units
• Compact construction minimizes the required space
• Manufactured in materials resistant to highly corrosive solutions and high temperatures
