Schmidt Press Marking Machines
For fast and economical marking, nothing beats a Geo. T. Schmidt brand machine that can indent a whole legend in one stroke with "pressing" action.
There are two basic types of press marking machines: "Impact" & "Squeeze". Impact presses, which can be faster than roll marking machines, indent numbers/letters into the surface of parts with a single stroke. Impat presses are typically used for stamping plates or solid parts. Squeeze action presses offer a gentler marking action when closer control of stamping pressure is desired.
Schmidt's Model 5T is an Impact Marking Press. It is used for quickly marking a limited amount of information into a flat surface. As a flange mounted unit, the 5T can be positioned in a vertical or horizontal arrangement. It is also available with a fixed table stand. This 5-ton press has a 2-1/2" maximum impact stroke, with a minimum air requirement of 20 P.S.I. To ensure operator safety, the 5T is equipped with electrical anti-tie down dual hand controls.
The pneumatic Model 5T provides up to 10,000 lbs. (5 tons) of impact pressure, adjustable with an air pressure regulator and guage. The 5TT accepts tooling with shanks that measure 1" in diameter by 2" long. The unit comes ready for flange mounting (bench-style unit availalbe as an option).
