The Sebright Products Foam Densifier has been uniquely designed to compact loose polystyrene (EPS or Styrofoam) and foam particles into very dense blocks to enhance your operation, reduce your storage requirements, and reduce your hauling/handling costs. Upon starting a processing cycle, the ram of the Densifier retracts to allow loose material to enter the feed chamber Applying the hydraulic force feeder in the hopper assists in holding the material down while the ram moves forward into the compression chamber. The operating program, controlled via PLC, compresses the material and allows the air between the particles to be released. The discharge chamber utilizes a pivoting side panel, driven by hydraulic force, to act as a restriction and hold the log of foam secure during the operating cycle. Once discharge pressures have been achieved, the pivoting side panel releases and allows a portion of the foam to be ejected. Teh operating cycle continually repeats until there is no more material in the feed hopper.
