Select Fabricators now provides cost effective finishing operations for plastic corrugated sheet manufacturers using ultrasonic welding and assembly. This solid-state welding process uses a simple construction design that does not need stapling and/or mechanical fasteners and reduces waste material from self-locking assembly techniques. Completed units can be assembled or nested reducing shipping expenses usually associated with flat sheets.
Ultrasonic welding joins two or more pieces using high-frequency vibrations. The vibrations produce heat below the melting point of the specified plastic so the materials are fused together, but not melted. Select Fabricators uses a spot welding technique that leaves a durable, star-shaped weld that does not rise above the finished surface of the plastic corrugated. A wide range of plastic corrugated materials can be simply joined using ultrasonic welding. SFi product and process designers assist with complete manufacturing and finishing options including assembly, packaging, shipping and storage.
