The Shupper-Brickle Equipment Company, based in central New Jersey, recently experienced the global economy first-hand, when an engineering firm based in North Carolina called with a special challenge: Their customer needed four 25-Metric-Ton Army-Type Hand Geared Trolley hoists, each with a special headroom requirement of 1500 mm, maximum. They also required an expedited delivery.

Shupper-Brickle Equipment responded with a design and quote, for which the resulting order and fulfillment spanned four continents:

• The purchase order was issued from Italy.
• The hoists were built by Black Bear products in Taiwan.
• The load bar was designed and fabricated by Shupper-Brickle in Dayton, NJ.
• The trolleys were built by Chester Hoist in Lisbon, OH.
• The hoists, trolleys, and load bars were assembled and load tested in Dayton, NJ at the Shupper-Brickle manufacturing facility.
• The four hoists were crated and shipped to the end-user in Brazil.

Through multi-continent coordination, the equipment was delivered on time and in compliance with the specification.
