Hach Company now offers a new and improved Sigma All-Weather Refrigerated Sampler Cabinet. A true all-weather unit, this cabinet's robust design ensures operation in the face of environmental challenges (corrosion, UV, standing water, rodents, corrosive gases), maintains accurate temperature control, protects sample quality, and provides security in remote operation.
Comprised of a linear, low-density polyethylene with UV inhibitors, the All-Weather Refrigerated Sampler Cabinet resists corrosion and UV light. It also contains a top-mounted compressor, located away from any standing water, rodents and heavy corrosive gases typically found at floor level. Additionally, the compressor's heat dissipates into the air, not into the sample compartment, preserving testing quality and reducing wear and tear on the refrigeration system.
A thermal microprocessor control system keeps temperatures in the cabinet accurate compared to the typical "warmer/colder" adjustment knob found on other instruments. The insulated lid protects the controller, pump and pump tubing from the elements. A mechanical door latch also keeps temperature fluctuations in check with a compressible gasket that ensures a positive seal. A lip overhangs the door seal to prevent precipitation from entering the sample containers. For additional heating options, a factory installed controller compartment heater keeps the sampler performing optimally when in temperatures from
–40 to 120ºF.
For remotely-located samplers, a lockable lid protects pump tubing and a lockable controller compartment prevents program tampering.
The All-Weather Cabinet operates with the Sigma SD900 and 900 Max Controllers and are bundled in several convenient configurations. For more information on Hach's sampling systems, visit http://www.hach.com/samplerguide or call 800-227-4224 and request literature #2569 and #2571.
