The patented BioFicient® Process presents a new breakthrough for pre-engineered wastewater treatment systems: no more regular sludge handling. No regular handling means no extensive plant operation or RAS/WAS calculations, and no wasted sludge to handle, haul or dispose.
BIOFICIENT optimizes bacterial activity through a series of Bio-Reducer and Calorie Reducer zones, which in succession massively reduce sludge levels below typical effluent levels so that wasting is extremely rare. Also rare are plant odors because the system is covered.
BIOFICENT is ideal for developments and small communities because the system is smaller than typical extended aeration plant (thus taking up less space), doesn't require daily operation, and the system is very quiet. BIOFICIENT doesn't incorporate blowers, eliminating noise concerns and lessening the power draw.
Multiple configurations of these zones are available with capacities from 2,000 GPD to 50,000 GPD and larger.
