FAIRVIEW, PA – March 20, 2006 – Spectrum Control, Inc. now offers their full line of standard and custom EMI filter plates in completely non-magnetic versions. These new non-magnetic components are perfectly suited for medical applications where electronic devices must be placed in the same vicinity as MRI equipment, or in any situation where non-magnetic parts are specified. These 100% non-magnetic filter plates are available in the same wide capacitance range as Spectrum's standard filter plates.
Spectrum Control markets Easy Mate®, Easy Mate® Jr., bolt-in, and custom filter plates. Designed for snap-in installation into the chassis, Easy Mate® filter plates reduce installation time and prep work costs. Both the Easy Mate® and Easy Mate® Jr. filter plates feature multiple finger ground contacts that provide the lowest path of impedance for noise to ground, and EMI filtering from 5 MHz to 18 GHz. The Easy Mate® filter plates offer flexible mounting density with 0.100 inches and 2 mm centers. Prices range from $5.00 to $125.00 depending on models and quantity.
Spectrum Control's bolt-in filter plates eliminate the need to mount filters into bulkheads. These filter plates offer excellent filtering from 5 MHz to 1 GHz, as well as mixed capacitance values and circuits. Spectrum bolt-in filter plates are available in various plate sizes with up to 74 lines per plate (hi-density), and 60 pins per plate (standard density).
Custom-designed filter plates may be specified to meet a variety of size, filtering, or material requirements. Contact Spectrum Control for additional details on custom filter plates. Connecting to the filter plates can be done using ribbon style connectors, harnesses, hard wiring, or soldering. Maximizing real estate on the PCB, Spectrum filter plates are used by the government and in telecommunication, medical, and industrial applications.
