Edison, NJ ---Star Micronics America, Inc. is proud to announce the promotion of Michael Hanson to Vice President. Hanson has been promoted to this position after serving as Star's Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the past six (6) years. As Vice President, Hanson will be responsible for the strategic direction and management of the printer and audio component business units of Star Micronics America, Inc. In his role as Vice President, Hanson will report to Takayuki Aoki, President of Star Micronics America, Inc.

Hanson has been with Star Micronics for over 14 years. Hanson first joined Star as an Application Sales Engineer and through his dedication and "know-how" quickly rose to the positions of Product Manager, System Sales Director, and Vice President of Sales & Marketing, which he held for the past six years. Hanson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology and will be based out of Star's Las Vegas, Nevada office.
