Star Micronics America, Inc. announces that its TSP800 series of thermal printers has earned certification from TALtech, one of the leading providers of bar code developer's tools. The certification allows TALtech's popular Bar Code ActiveX Control and Bar Code DLLs to be integrated into Star Micronics' TSP800 printers, creating an extremely simple, cost-effective solution for printing bar codes in most conventional applications, including database, packaging design, document tracking, postal bar coding, and general labeling.

Two of the most widely used bar code programs in the industry, TALtech's Bar Code ActiveX Control and Bar Code DLLs create high quality bar codes based upon Windows,metafile graphics technology, compared to other technologies that utilize low-quality font or bitmap technology. Bar width reduction and gain are also fully supported for producing pre-press output.
