Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation and its Hydraulics business introduces its patented VersaSteer Technology in the Char-Lynn brand Series 10 and Series 20 steering control units (SCUs). This revolutionary technology vastly improves hydraulic steering by giving the operator the most flexible and productive steering experience in the marketplace.

VersaSteer Technology offers the operator the choice of quick steering or traditional hydraulic steering at any time, with a touch of a button or a flip of a switch. The quick steering mode significantly reduces operator effort by shortening the turning spectrum while the traditional hydraulic steering mode enables better roadability and emergency steering capabilities. The combination of these steering options provides increased operator flexibility, improved productivity, and increased operator satisfaction.

VersaSteer Technology also provides system cost savings by eliminating the need for a separate joystick system. This new technology enables the steering wheel to function as a traditional steering system and a joystick system. Additionally, VersaSteer Technology supports increased productivity and efficiency by reducing operator fatigue, as the amount of wheel turning is decreased when the quick steering mode is chosen.

The Char-Lynn Series 10 and Series 20 SCUs can be equipped with VersaSteer Technology and can be used in load sensing, open center, or closed center systems.
