Storage Battery Systems has devloped a flooded battery with all of today's advanced features including lead-selenium alloy tubular grid plates for reduced corrosion & increased service life. The STT has a 25 year design life with a 20 year warranty, 5 of which is at 100% with the balance of 15 being pro-rated. The 6 & 12 volt jars carry the same warranty but are designed to accommodate high rate discharges commonly found in UPS applications by increasing the surface area of the active material. The tubular plate design tolerates success cycling extremely well. The lead -selenium composition and proprietary grid design results in a battery that combines the benefits of both a lead calcium & lead-antimony design while exhibiting none of their limitations. Available in capacities of 110 A/h to 3585 A/h, the STT can be accommodated on SBS battery racking systems for maximum power density & minimum footprint regardless of Seismic Zone. All models are flame retardant with SANS cases & ABS covers. Watering intervals of 1-3 years are augmented with convenient flip-top vent caps that allow easy access & are a standard feature as are completely rubber insulated intercells that expose zero hazardous voltage to personnel. Although other specific gravities are available upon request, 1.240SG is standard for optimim discharge & recharge.
