ACTUATOR TYPE SKR

THK's high-speed Type SKR Actuator is now available in two new smaller sizes of 20mm and 26mm. With the Type SKR, customers can experience the benefits of both THK's Caged Technology Ball Screw and Caged Ball™ LM Guide Technology in one high-speed actuator. Designed for high speed and accuracy, THK's SKR Actuator has positioning accuracies of 0.020mm, overall rail lengths from 159(SKR20)/220(SKR26)mm to 259(SKR20)/370(SKR26)mm, and stroke ranges of 41.5(SKR20)/69(SKR26)mm to 141.5(SKR20)/219(SKR26)mm.

Engineered into the Type SKR, patented THK Caged Technology employs a synthetic resin cage with a patented curvature that cradles each ball and separates it from the next. The spaces between the rolling elements retain grease and act as a lubrication system for long-term, maintenance-free operation. Caged Technology benefits also include high accuracy, high-speed operation, smooth movement, low noise and low dust generation.

The Type SKR is equipped with a ball screw QZ lubricator to further ensure long-term maintenance free operation. The Type SKR is easy to assemble, precision-engineered, rigid and available in new wider range of sizes.

The overwhelming success of THK's caged technology has propelled the expansion of caged technology throughout the product line. THK is also expanding their product offering to include larger and smaller sizes as well as new materials and technology to achieve superior results in the most demanding applications.
