Power Converter is the cornerstone of the Cobalt15 power products. It is engineered for simplicity, utilizing the latest technologies. The core inverter and high voltage assemblies are designed for high reliability, high fault tolerance and low cost. The product's "resonating pulse-width modulated topology" is such that current regulation, voltage limit and power limit are inherent to the design regardless of the fault conditions or servo loop performance.

Arc energy is limited to fractions of a Joule due to microsecond responses and low stored energy. Auto Adaptive Technology maximizes on-time by intuitively minimizing quench time based upon current operating conditions. Arc response attributes such as arc sensitivity, quench and recovery time are customized to the system.

The converter may be set up in current, voltage or power regulation mode with full range voltage and current adjustability. Full power is available down to three-quarter output voltage. The different nominal voltage models allow for a range of outputs ranging from 100VDC to 60kVDC.
