New Belt Drive Slide from Techno, Inc.

Voyager Series

A new belt-driven slide from TECHNO, INC. identified as the Voyager Series VB1, features lengths up to 3 meters and speeds up to 5 meters per second. It can be used for many applications such as dispensing, inspection, pick and place and parts transfer. These slides can be assembled to make 2- and 3- axis systems.

They are available in 15 different travels from 200mm to 3000mm. Custom travels up to 5700m are also available. The VB1 comes with several types of motor configurations, including NEMA 23 and 34 steppers and servos, as well as no motor. It uses its own belt to protect the carriage and rail from dirt and debris; an all models are available in stainless steel.

Of special interest is the 50mm wide steel-reinforced HTD timing belt drive which features a deep curvilinear profile for more positive nonslip operation which compared with the conventional trapezoidal tooth profile. This provides greater shear strength and smaller unit pressure per tooth since the area of contact is greater.
