Techno Releases Low Cost Large Travel 3 Axes Cartesian Robot

A new series of cartesian robots from Techno, Inc. features high speed, servomotor controlled XYZ motion. They can be used for dispensing, soldering, inspection, automatic screw fastening and pick and place operations.

These systems are configured using Techno™'s Blueline series of Belt Driven Slides and LP Servo Control Package. Robots can be configured up to 1550x2600mm of travel with maximum speeds to 2.4 meters per second. This gives the user a large format, high speed robot at a low price. Each axis is contained in an aluminum housing with a protective top cover. This allows the robots to stand up to industrial applications.

Three axes of simultaneous motion can be provided to perform difficult multi-axes motions. Techno™'s cartesian robots also provide smooth and continuous motion to avoid puddling when dispensing fluids or working with solder. The system can be mounted over very large parts or conveyor systems. This gives the unit great flexibility in its applications. An optional library of motion routines is available for software development for OEM applications.

A complete system includes:

  • 3 axis robot with travel of 1043x1043x143mm completely assembled
  • PCI motion controller for the PC
  • Power electronics assembled in enclosure with power supply
  • Windows based automation software

An optional machine base and enclosure are available to meet your shop floor requirements.
