These feedthrus utilize TA-23 or CABAL-12 glass to prevent degradation of the seal by the lithium chemistry. Tekna Seal's proprietary Oxide-Free glass sealing process eliminates the need for post-sealing chemical clean-up, thus eliminating the chemical residues and sensitization to corrosion that is inherent with the traditional glass sealing processes.

Battery feedthrus are usually designed wtih stainless steel bodies, but Tekna Seal can also provide feedthrus with titanium bodies. In most cases, the conductor is molybdenum to provide low resistance and compatibility with lithium chemistry.
