Pinch Roller Pressure Profiler

Tekscan's I-Scan® system provides the tools necessary to view, measure, evaluate and balance the forces in a pinch roller nip.

Typical objectives in pinch applications are to measure roller contact pressures to determine contact area and nip width and to balance the forces in the nip along the entire length of the rollers. The I-Scan sensor is easy to insert into the nip and an ideal tool for the industrial process environment.

With Tekscan's paper-thin, pressure sensors in the nip and real-time display software, balancing roller pressures can be done quickly, easily and in real-time. An accurate measurement of nip pressure and contact area reduces machine set-up time and minimizes product scrap.
