The A2CP2596 is a very small power amplifier with 23.5 dB gain and provides up to 6 watts of saturated output power and 3 watts at the P1 dB point.The output power stage runs off of a nominal +28 V at 500 mA and the driver stage is biased for +15 volts and 360 mA. Using +15 volts on the driver stage reduces total power dissipation. Input/Output VSWRs are less than 2:1 across the band. The package is 1.175 X 0.58 X 0.23 inches not counting the SMA connectors. The unit must be mounted to a good heat sink that doesn't exceed +85 C under full on conditions for the amplifier.
