Thermotron's patented solenoid controlled, dual strike impactor is an industry first technology. Repetitive shock impactors traditionally hit in one direction, so the stress in the positive direction was greater than the negative. Stress is imparted in the positive and negative direction in each of the three axes because the dual strike impactor hits on the upstroke and downstroke. Driving the table in both directions causes visible vibration table motion and displacement not achieved with other tables.
The peak probability stress distribution is improved because of the dual strike impactors. An increased number of high force impact orrcurances causes a more evenly distributed force profile. Users will see increased product fatigue more quickly compared to traditional repetitive shock vibration systems.
