High bandwidth, low pass filters in a surface mount package that are designed for cost effective use in E to O and O to E applications where flat group delay and good return loss beyond the cutoff frequency are important characteristics. These filters performs an absorptive, low pass function that attenuates high frequencies. These filters can be used in applications from duo binary signal generation and loss emulation to adjusting optical receiver sensitivities. In typical communication applications they can reduce deterministic jitter without significant loss of eye amplitude resulting in reduced bit error rates. These series are offered in 6-Pin and 14-Pin ceramic BGA packages.
