The Model OLBDP-901FS is a diode pumped solid state laser system that provides 10 mW of output power on a continuous wave, CW, basis at a wavelength of 473nm. To enhance the performance of the laser the temperature of the laser module is controlled by an internal thermo electric cooler. Coupled to this is complete laser power feedback, which provides output power stability. A higher power version, the OLBDP-902FS, provides 20 mW of power with the same features.

The lasing medium is Nd:YVO4 with a KTP crystal for intercavity second harmonic generation. The beam diameter of each laser is <1mm and a beam divergence of typically 1 mrad. The beam mode is TEM₀₀ with a quality factor of M²<1.2. This operational performance is delivered over a baseplate operating temperature range of 15ºC ~ 35ºC.

The laser system includes the laser head and a power supply/controller. In the OEM version the power supply is a DC input module, which develops the thermo electric cooler power and the controlled power for the laser. For other applications a bench top power unit is available which handles an AC input, which is international in nature, 100 VAC to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
