Trace-A-Matic has seen the demand for part verification increase exponentially over the last 10 years. In some cases, tighter tolerances are required for improved functionality of the finished product. In other cases, traceability within customer quality systems will constrain the CMM requirement. And sometimes, the industry in which the product is used demands thorough inspection and confirmation via CMM.
Regardless of the reason for Coordinate Measurement substantiation, Trace-A-Matic uses two (2) Brown & Sharpe Global CMM's to fulfill these demands. One has travels of Y-Axis 130", X-Axis 79" and Z-Axis 59". The other has travels of Y-Axis 118", X-Axis 48.0" and Z-Axis 39". We use the universally regarded PC-DMIS to program our CMM's. Several members of our Quality Assurance team are trained in either the programming or the operation of our CMM's, or both.
