Across the Tranter product line, there's one thing all have in common—plates instead of tubes. Plates simply do the job more efficiently and with less maintenance. They consume less of expensive and precious resources, both in materials such as steel and in fuel, than do conventional shell & tube exchangers. So, they consume less of your most precious resource—money.

Plate heat exchangers are also more controllable and responsive, thanks to their higher heat transfer coefficients and lower hold-up volume. Your process stabilizes more rapidly for tighter process control and steady comfort in all applications throughout load swings. You'll also consume less cooling media, which can mean significant savings with expensive lube oils, for example.

The SUPERCHANGER® Plate & Frame Heat Exchanger designed to provide maximum efficiency in transferring heat from one liquid to another, or from steam to liquid.

ULTRAMAX® Welded heat exchanger is designed for use with liquids, gases or two-phase mixtures at extreme temperatures to 343°C (650°F) and pressures up to 45 barg (650 psig) for standard range units. Extended range units are available for higher temperature and pressure applications.

SUPERMAX® Shell & Plate heat exchanger is designed for pressures to 70 barg (1,015 psig) and at temperatures up to 537°C (1,000°F) for standard range units. Extended range units are available for higher temperature and pressure applications. With alternating channels for hot and cold media, the SUPERMAX® can be configured to provide true countercurrent or co-current flow.

MAXCHANGER® Welded - A quick look at the MAXCHANGER® may lead you to dismiss it as a CBE heat exchanger. Yet there is nothing brazed in this unit—it is truly 100% same-same material. Consider MAXCHANGER® ratings: to 70 barg (1,015 psig) and 538°C (1,000°F). No CBE can survive under those conditions.

PLATECOIL® Prime Surface Heat Exchangers are fabricated from two metal sheets, one or both of which are embossed. When welded together, the embossings form a series of well-defined passages through which the heat transfer media flows. Standard PLATECOIL® panels are available in more than 300 sizes; widths range from 305 mm to 1,092 mm (12 in. to 43 in.). Length dimensions range from 584 mm to 3,632 mm (23 in. to 143 in.).
