Eccotherm® Syntactic Thermal Insulation Materials
The Eccotherm® range of subsea thermal insulation materials manufactured by Trelleborg Emerson & Cuming, Inc. are used throughout the offshore oil and gas industries. Eccotherm® deepwater thermal insulation systems offer high insulation factors and a degree of buoyancy. For high temperature deepwater thermal insulation applications, Eccotherm® thermal insulation's blend of Eccospheres® glass micropsheres and thermoplastic resins are specially formulated to meet exacting requirments.
We manufacture a range of thermal insulation materials with differing application methods, these include: MB - range of machinable thermal block, provided in block or panel sections and machined and profiled on site before being adhesively bonded to the surface of trees, manifolds, sleds or jumpers. FC - thermal insulation materials are an epoxy/microsphere syntactic mixed and applied on site. PC - pre-cast thermal insulation sections are commonly semi circular 'C-sections' based on an epoxy/microsphere/macrosphere formulation. Primarily used to insulate straight and curved sections of jumpers, rigid flow-lines and hybrid production riser systems. It is also used to insulate pipe within manifolds, trees and sleds. PT - range of extruded thermal insulation tape for winding round flowlines Other thermal insulation materials include pure syntactic foam, composite syntactic foam systems, low denisty PU foam (LDPUF), solid PU elastomer and glass syntactic PU.
