Text: The new TGA4956-SM is the latest in TriQuint's highly-successful series of modulator driver amplifiers for 10Gb/s optical networks. The TGA4956-SM, at only 8x8mm, offers designers a smaller surface mount solution. This new module also provides enhanced performance including lower power dissipation for less waste heat within a system and lower overall power consumption. The amplifier can support both low drive voltage (3Vpp) and high drive voltage (6Vpp) while offering metro and long haul network designers scalable power dissipation for varying output drive requirements (< 0.42 W at Vo = 3 Vpp, <1 W at Vo = 6 Vpp).
